Stanhope, NJ –Local artist David Rush will be at the Louise Childs Branch Library in Stanhope on Saturday, November 4 at 10:30 a.m. to demonstrate the Automatic Painting Method, a style of creating art without conscious thought. Mr. Rush will begin a landscape using this technique, allowing his brush to wander without purposeful direction, and then add a series of abstract shapes to transform the canvas into a mystical landscape. Upon completion of the landscape, which will take about one hour, Mr. Rush will answer questions from the audience.

This program is free and open to the public but space is limited. Register through the Events Calendar link at sussexcountylibrary.org or by calling the Louise Childs Branch at 973 770-1000.
