SPARTA, NJ – After three years of construction, the new offices of Biondo Investment Advisors have officially opened their door.  The ribbon cutting ceremony took place under clear blue skies with more than 100 people looking on.

Located across from the Stop & Shop on Main Avenue co-founders Joe Biondo Sr. Joseph Biondo Jr and partner Karl Wagner “are all proud to have a footprint in the Sparta business community,” their release said.

“The building took me out of the office,” Joseph Biondo said before cutting the ribbon with a chuckle.  “They [Biondo employees] probably didn’t mind.”

The headquarters will remain in Milford, Pennsylvania where the company was founded. The Sparta office will allow a more convenient place for the Sussex County and other New Jersey clients to meet with the Biondo team, their release said.

“Thanks to the Milford clients. Your trust and confidence allowed this to happen,” Joseph Biondo said. “And thanks to the Sussex County clients.  You made this possible.”

Joe Biondo Sr. began his career in investing in 1962.  He left his job sanding floors, eventually becoming one of the top advisors nationwide for Smith Barney.  He went on to form Biondo Group at Smith Barney in 1991 as a discretionary investment manager.  By 2002 The Biondo Group at Smith Barney managed $300 million in assets, according to the organization.

Joseph Biondo started in the business with Prudential Securities in 1997 after graduating from the Wharton School f Business.  He joined The Biondo Group at Smith Barney two years later.

Biondo Investment Advisors was co-founded by the father son team in 2004 on the philosophy “an investment firm should be managed for investors, by investors,” the organization said.

In 2014 Joseph Jr. became the CEO of Biondo Investment Advisors which currently manages over $550 million in assets.

A part of the old home that used to stand on the location has been incorporated into the new building.  Joseph Biondo took a piece of the siding and created a painting that hangs on the office walls.

“The community of Sparta has been great to us,” Joseph Biondo said.  “We are the first project in the new business zone.  The support from the town has been wonderful.”
