ROCKAWAY, NJ - Though Sparta did not have a top two finish at the Morris Hills track and field meet on April 15, they were awarded first place as a team in the small school division.

There were three third place finishes at the meet. Andrew Pondiscio had two of them. He showed off his athleticism with a  20 feet, seven inch long jump that placed him the top three. He also had five feet, 10 inch high jump.

The other third place finish was Ben Davis in javelin throws. He threw the javelin 160 yards and seven inches.

Billy Loewen finished sixth in the shot put finals. Jason Rotondi finished eighth in the long jump finals.

The girls were successful as well. They had one relay team finish first and another finished second.
