ANDOVER, NJ- After three extra innings of baseball, Eric Castorina singled in Sebastian Jerome to take the lead over North Warren at Skylands. Jake Zerillo brought in Matt Guerra with a single to add an insurance run to help get Sparta baseball their second win of the season.

After trading runs in the first inning, Sparta put three on the board in the second. They added one more in the fifth before giving up two in the bottom of that inning and one in each of the next two. 

Castorina and Matt Sigillo went 2 for 5 with two RBIs each. Guerra started for Sparta and pitched four innings and had two strikeouts. Brendan Muhs came in for four innings of relief and was the winning pitcher. He gave up one hit and had two strikeouts. Jerome closed the game out for Sparta.

Hunter DePrimo had a double and single for North Warren.

The boys are back on the diamond on Monday against Hopatcong. They are 2-3 on the season.
