SPARAT, NJ - The Chabad of Sussex County held its annual Hanukkah celebration at Sparta Lanes last Sunday. Members of the Chabad met at the bowling alley for a few hours of bowling, prayers, and celebration. The festivities included homemade latkes and arts and crafts, including foam stars and baked candlestick cookies.

Councilwoman Christine Quinn also made an appearance at the celebration.   Despite her lost voice she spoke to the crowd.  Quinn expressed, “We all must be our own bright candle.”

Under the guidance of the Rabbi, Roni Amiel led prayer in lighting the Hanukkah candles.

The celebration concluded with prizes for all, children and adults alike, and warm holiday wishes for all who attended.
