Connecticut, New York City, South Jersey, as well as Sparta. These presenters have put together some great activities to showcase some of the unique careers in STEM," Rashmi Drummond, President, The DreamGirls Initiative.

The workshop will feature scientists and engineers from five corporations conducting hands on activities.  This is a drop off event for the participants.  They will spend 25 minutes at each activity and will get a small snack.

Computer Scientists from Selective Insurance will be demonstrating the basics of computer coding by having participants maneuver a partner through a maze.

Estee Lauder representatives will highlight the importance of packaging on beauty care products.

Participants will learn how flavors come together in an activity with flavor chemists from Pepperidge Farm.

Participants will see first hand how medicines from Bayer Pharmaceuticals are tested for purity and help us feel better.

Scientists from the largest private flavor and fragrance company, Firmenich, will demonstrate how encapsulation technology keeps our laundry smelling great.

DreamGirls has received considerable support from the Sparta community.  Platinum Sponsor for the event is Selective Insurance, who will also have employees participating.  Additional sponsors are Sparta Friends and Neighbors club, and CP Engineers.

Sparta High School students will also be volunteering as group leaders for the event.
