What do people need as they seek and sustain recovery from alcohol and other drugs? What is available right here in Sussex County for anyone to access and learn more about addiction, recovery, as well as FREE support services and programs available? Recovery is a lifelong process, therefore, offering recovery support services before, during and after substance use disorder treatment is helpful for everyone seeking recovery. From 4-6pm on Monday, June 18,th The Center for Prevention and Counseling will host a C.L.E.A.R. Program Drop-in for Recovery at the Minisink Reformed Church Sanctuary located at 346 River Rd, Montague Township, NJ 07827. This informal event is free to all and offers the public the ability to drop by, with no appointment necessary, to talk with a recovery coach, professional counselor and/or other volunteers to be guided through the process of seeking help for addiction and recovery.
Recovery Support Staff from The Center along with members of the Sussex County Recovery Advocacy and Recovery Support group host “Drop in for Recovery” opportunities to assist community members overwhelmed at the prospect of having to navigate the task of looking for help for addiction themselves. Recovery Coach volunteers donate their time to be available at these events where they offer companionship, stage-appropriate recovery education as well as information regarding local recovery resources and other support services.
Anyone interested can drop in between 4-6pm or call ahead and speak to someone about available services. For more information, contact Katie at The Center for Prevention and Counseling at (973)940-2966 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
