SPARTA NJ – There was an arrest involving both the Jefferson and Sparta Police Departments on Route 15.  On June 17, at approximately 8:37 p.m. Sparta Police received a call from the Jefferson Police Department reporting a possible intoxicated driver traveling northbound on Route 15.

Corporal Frank Schomp saw the vehicle, a 2011 Nissan Altima, pass his location at the 12 mile mark.  The car’s headlights were not turned on.  Further, Cpl. Schomp observed the vehicle drift across the lane markings and the fog line.
