FRANKLIN, NJ – A Franklin man was arrested on multiple drug charges, including Distribution of Heroin, after several Franklin residents reported drug activity near and around Green Street.
Franklin Borough Police conducted an investigation into the complaints of “what appeared to be multiple narcotics transactions” in the Green Street area, according to police.
Fred Gall, was arrested on Jan 11 at around 10 p.m. for distribution of narcotics related offenses, police report. The 28 year-old Franklin resident “attempted to run and hide in the woods near Macopin Road in West Milford” before finally surrendering to officers.
Gall was also found to have an outstanding Warrant in Morris County Superior Court for failure to appear on unrelated charges. He was charged with Distribution of Herion and other narcotics related offenses. His bail was set at $20,000 without a ten percent option. He was transported to the Sussex County jail, in lieu of bail.
Franklin Borough Police department report their investigation is ongoing.
The complaints that were filed are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The charges may be presented to a grand jury for potential indictment.
