FRANKLIN, NJ – The Franklin Police department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman suspected in a burglary.  Police report a Vernon woman had her purse stolen from her car in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

The victim reported the incident to the Vernon police. Their investigation turned up photos of the suspect as she made transactions with six stolen checks at TD Banks, Wells Fargo Banks and a Chase Bank.  The fraudulent transactions added up to nearly $15,000 according to police.

The photos depict what appears to police to be a newer model Hyundai Santa Fe with license plates belonging to a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
