A free seminar about careers in the field of education will be offered to teens and adults on Wednesday, October 28, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency.  Maureen Murphy-Smolka, Associate Professor at Sussex County Community College, will be joined by Halsted Middle School Principal Kristi Greene and Ridge & Valley Charter School Educator Grace Gordon for a discussion of the background, education and the skills necessary for success in the field of education. 

Questions from the audience will be welcome.  “Becoming You:  Education Careers” will explore vocations in the public and private sector from preschool through collegiate institutions.   The seminar is free and open to teens and adults, but registration is required.  Interested participants are encouraged to call 973-940-3500 to register.  Project Self-Sufficiency is located at 127 Mill Street in Newton.
