SPARTA, NJ – It was a beautiful day for the Fun Fair at Helen Morgan Elementary School.  The event was a collaboration between the Helen Morgan and Mohawk Avenue schools’ PTOs, alternating the location each year.  The warm sunshine and wide variety of activities brought approximately 300 children and their families to the fair.

The large undertaking required 95 volunteer and vendors who provided crafts, photo booth, cake walk, face painting, broom ball, hamster ball, video games, two laser light shows and even a chance to Booger the principals in War with the Principals dodgeball game.

The littlest fair-goers had Mini Town to explore.  Music played throughout the day by RJC Studios.

There was enough food to satisfy all who attended.  They had their choice of pizza, hot dogs, nachos, funnel cakes, cotton candy and sno cones.  There was also a raffle room of prize baskets for the adults.

There was also support from many sponsors from the community:

  • Wellness Center Pediatrics sponsored the War with the Principals,
  • Lake Mohawk Pool sponsored the Laser Light Show,
  • Skylands Ice World had broom ball and Elsa from Frozen
  • TransOptions gave away bicycle helmets and did fittings as well
  • The Junior Women’s Club of Sparta
  • Sports N Swim Camp

Event coordinator Janelle Daly said, “The primary goal of the fun fair was to create a day of fun for the children and their families. Helen Morgan hosts the fun fair every other year and this year it was a collaboration with the PTO from Mohawk Ave School as well.

“The elementary school principals, Mr. Layman, Mr. Ciaburri, Ms. Trent and Mr. Leone came together to play War with the Principals for the kids. Everyone had a great time and we look forward to doing it again in 2017.”

Republican Party Values

May 21, 2018

Campaigns are interesting things.

Throughout the process, my opponents' supporters have labeled me a "political prostitute", "pimping" a message as a "spokesperson". I've been in a public meeting when referred to as a "lackey" who
"belongs in a cage like the animal you are".

It's been said directly to me by a ...
