Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey’s Women of Achievement awards event honors individuals from local communities who have made outstanding contributions in their careers or personal lives, who serve as positive role models for young women, and who exemplify the values of Girl Scouting. This year’s program theme was Invest in the Power of G.I.R.L., and those honored emulate the G.I.R.L.TM (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, and Leader) qualities the organization strives to nurture in every Girl Scout as they build a better world for all.

“These women are incredible role models for our girls and we are proud to recognize them for their contributions to their communities and their field of work,” said Betty A. Garger, president and CEO of Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey.

Sponsors of the event include Kearny Bank, Inserra Supermarkets, Lakeland Bank, Wells Fargo, BD, Deacon Homes, Palmer & Cay, TIAA, and Wyndham Worldwide.

Proceeds from Women of Achievement provide financial assistance to girls in need, who without help would not receive the benefits of Girl Scouting. Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey serves girls ages 5-18 in 160 municipalities in Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Sussex, and northern Warren counties.
