On November 3, participating salons in Sussex County will participate in Haircuts for Hospice. Haircuts for Hospice is one of several events that are planned during the month November to bring awareness to National Hospice Month.

On Haircuts for Hospice Day salons and stylists have agreed to donate their time, skills and proceeds from the day to the capital campaign for the Joseph T. Quinlan Bereavement Center. The center, currently located on 61 Spring Street in Newton, is looking to purchase a permanent home so they can continue to expand their services to the community.

This will be the fourth annual Haircuts for Hospice day. “Each year we’ve not only accomplished our fundraising goals for this event, but continue to increase participation,” said Jackie Cascio, Advancement Associate at Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice.
