Just Craftin’ Around at Main Library

NEWTON, NJ – Adults and older teens are invited to Main Library the first Friday of every month at 2:00 p.m. for Just Craftin’ Around. Each month there’s a new, turnkey project that can be completed in under two hours. Projects are simple enough for inexperienced participants, but can always be embellished by more ambitious crafters. The project for October 6 is paracord-style bracelets. Registration is by calling Main Libray at 973 948-3660 or through the Events Calendar link atsussexcountylibrary.org.

Sparta Police: Misplaced Bike Rack Leads to Drug Arrest

SPARTA, NJ – Two people are facing drug charges after being stopped because their bike carrier blocked the car’s rear license plate.  According to police Cpl. Marc Rubino stopped Orest Kalni, 27 on October 13 around 11 a.m.

SPARTA, NJ – A box truck drive is facing drug charges after being stopped on White Lake Road. Sparta Police Officer Steven Guido stopped Kyon Handcock on October 12 around 9:30 a.m. because the truck was oversized for the four ton weight limit, police say.

SPARTA, NJ – A traffic stop ended with drug charges for a Sparta man.  On October 4 at 9:13 p.m. Police Officer Erick Finley stopped Nicholas Ryan for not having lights on the front or back license plate, according to police.
