SPARTA, NJ- Mohawk Avenue School Staff brought  Dr Seuss to life for  the love of reading week on March 5.  

Staff dressed in costume like Things one and Thing two from the Dr Seuss book The Cat in the Hat.    There were over 30 THINGS in classrooms and hallways to excite the students about reading

There were many special events throughout the week to focus on reading.  Special guests came to read to the students, including the mayor Molly Whilesmith and council members Christine Quinn and Gil Gibbs.

Wearing red was also part of a fundraiser in support of the American Heart Association.  Each staff member donated five dollars to the cause.    

"The kindergarten children of Mohawk Avenue School enjoyed the day," said Mohawk Avenue School secretary Judy Wainwright.   "It was another happy day in the happiest school on earth."
