SPARTA, NJ – Halloween traditions continue for the community’s youngsters.  On Sunday, Oct 25 Sparta’s families are invited to the annual Trunk or Treat and Munchkin March by the Sparta Recreation Advisory Board and Sparta Spartans Youth Football and Cheer.

Participants are also invited to decorate their vehicle for the event and hand out treats.  A Best Decorated Trunk prize will be awarded. 

A fun and safe Halloween evening, the Trunk or Treat begins at 5:30. Decorated vehicles should be in the parking lot by 4:30.  The Munchkin March, a judged costume parade will begin promptly at 6 p.m. on Ungerman Memorial Field.

Prizes will be awarded for several categories of costumes.

Participants are asked to bring canned goods for the Sparta Ecumenical Food Pantry.  

In case of inclement weather the event will be held in the Mohawk Avenue School.
