NEWTON, NJ—The Newton Moose Lodge will be hosting its first ever “Kids Helping Kids” Chalk event from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 21 at the new Moose Lodge located on Swartswood Road in Newton.
The event started when Administrator Jason Baumann’s daughter Reanna and her friend Kassie started "chalking up" the lodge's parking lot one day.
“They had such a great time,” said Baumann, “we thought why not turn this into an event, get the community involved to come learn about the lodge and raise money for those in need.”
For every dollar that a child puts into a jar located at the lodge, the Moose Lodge will match that dollar to help other kids in need.
The event will also include a clown, Tommy Moose, local fire and sheriff departments, food, popcorn and of course chalk for the kids.
