National Prevention Week starts Today, May 15th and The Center is your National Prevention Week headquarters!  National Prevention Week (NPW) is held during the third week of May as a reminder that awareness and prevention of alcohol and other drugs is essential especially since the Summer season is unofficially beginning. Summer is an exciting and long awaited season and is a season where kids have more free time, more unsupervised time and the initiation of substance use is at its highest.  Summer is filled with many opportunities including celebrations, and recreational activities where substance useoccurs, such as at graduation parties, proms, weddings, concerts and sporting events.
