NEWTON, NJ—On Wednesday, August 26, Newton Police responded to an apartment on Halsted Street for a report of an unresponsive female.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 25 year-old female, who was unconscious and displaying signs and symptoms of a heroin overdose.
Ptl. Joseph D’Annibale administered Narcan, which led to the female regaining consciousness. She was transported to Newton Medical Center by the Newton First Aid Squad.
Responding officers included Ptl. Joseph D’Annibale and Sgt. Steve Benson.
