NEWTON, NJ - Newton will be celebrating autumn with the Second Annual Newton Fall Festival on Spring Street on Saturday, October 21 from noon until 4 p.m.

The free event is sponsored by the Town of Newton.  Live music will entertain all day on both ends of the street.  Performers include Public Trade, Brian McLoughlin, Rocco Costanza and others.

Best Carved Pumpkin contest begins at noon.  Sensible Additions is the Jack O'Lantern drop off spot. Winners will be announced at 3 p.m.

The baking contest will begin at 12:30.  Drop off location for the pies is Between the Bread. Winners will be announced at 3:30 p.m.

The Pet Costume Contest begins at 2 p.m. at Maxwell & Molly's Closet.

The Greater Newton Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Trunk or Treat in the McGuire parking lot.  Prizes will be awarded for the costume contest and best decorated trunk.  The GNCC will be collecting donations for the scholarship fund.
