SPARTA, NJ – The curbing on the center island at the center of White Deer Plaza is scheduled to be repaired by the end of the year, reported Mayor Jerry Murphy at the Sparta Township Council meeting last week.
“Though it is anticipated to be done by the end of October,” said Murphy.
Because the road is a county road, Sussex County is responsible for making the repairs. According to Murphy, the township’s zoning board had been contacted by Lake Mohawk Country Club for assistance in determining what needed to be done to get the repairs made.
Murphy said the county administrator was contacted to get the project taken care of. The scope of the work will include repairs to the curbing in the center island in front of the St. Moritz restaurant, as well as restriping the crosswalks.
