RV Boat Show at Skylands

AUGUSTA, NJ - Skylands Stadium today announced that it will hold the stadium’s first-ever Outdoor Recreation Show and End-of-Season Blowout, featuring boat and boating equipment, recreational vehicles (RVs), off-road motorcycles, utility vehicles (UTVs), all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and more. The event, which will take place October 11, 12, and 13, will also feature music from local bands and the opportunity to sign up to win a $3,000 diamond bracelet giveaway, courtesy of Cailey Jewelers.
 
The Outdoor Recreation Show will be located at Skylands Stadium, 94 Championship Place in Augusta.  The entry price is $5 for adults. Children 12 and under are free. The event will be open on Saturday, Oct. 11 the 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct.12 from 10 am to 6 pm and Monday, Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is no charge for parking.
 
Exhibitors of boats, RVs and powersports equipment will be at the show to make their best deals on leftovers, overstocked new and pre-owned inventory.  Brands featured include Nautique, Sweetwater & Bennington Pontoon Boats, Mercury, Hurricane Deck Boats, MasterCraft, Sylvan, Silverback 5th Wheel, Cherokee Destination, Flagstaff, Dump and Cargo Trailers, Jayco, Outback, Passport Kobota, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, and more.
 
Support vendors will be at the event for shoppers, providing information about services and other activities. The stadium’s food concessions will be open throughout the event and there will be bounce houses and live music every day.
 
The drawing for the diamond bracelet, donated by sponsor Cailey Jewelers of Lafayette, will take place in late November, around Thanksgiving. If you cannot sign up at the show, sign up in-store. In addition to Cailey Jewelers, other event sponsors include Lynne's Nissan of Sussex County, Spartan Wholesale Flooring of Sparta and Krave Caterers of Newton.
 
The band schedule is as follows:

· Sat., Oct. 11, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Reno, music from the 60s, 70s and 80s and Rated R Band

· Sun., Oct. 12, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Bill Ruddy, acoustic guitarist

About Skylands Stadium
Skylands Stadium, built in 1994, is located in the heart of Sussex County in Frankford Township, Augusta New Jersey.  Skylands Stadium LLC Management purchased the stadium in 2013, including the 4,200-seat ballpark, a 16,000-square foot all-purpose building and the surrounding 28 acres. The new management has renovated the stadium and is in discussions to bring baseball back by 2015.  
 
The current Stadium makeover consists of upgrades to all concessions, rest room facilities and seating area, as well as the playing field. A new 5000 square-foot pavilion has been erected down the first base line and a club house and locker rooms have been completely renovated. Additionally, an 18,000 square-foot exhibit hall will be completed this fall; an in-house catering facility will be completed by spring 2015. Sparta High School Book Drive for Reach Out and Read

Sparta High School is holding a Children's book drive. All books collected will be donated to Reach Out and Read, an organization which donates books to pediatricians who give the books to patients who cannot afford them.

Drop off boxes can be found in the Sparta High School Media Center from Wednesday 2/21 to Monday 2/26.
