SPARTA, NJ – Santa is coming to Sparta.  Whether the weather is like the North Pole or not, the man in the red suit will be at the pavilion at Station Park on Sunday, December 1. 

He will give the reindeer the day off and arrive by firetruck at 1 p.m.  Santa will meet with families until 3 p.m.

Admission to the free event is a small unwrapped toy or non-perishable food item to be donated to the Ecumenical Food Pantry.

The afternoon with Santa will include: 

  • A digital photo that will be emailed to the families, hot chocolate and popcorn,
  • Live carols performed by local high school students,
  • A display of emergency vehicles; fire truck, ambulance, police car
  • Supplies and mail box to the North Pole for children to write letters to Santa.  They can expect a return letter from Santa.

No registration is required.  The event is presented by the Sparta Recreation Department.
