HARDYSTON, NJ – With schools closed on Thursday and Friday for Teachers’ Convention, Skylands Ice World is offering some additional daytime activities to keep the children busy.

Scheduled for both Thursday and Friday there are opportunities for those interested in hockey, figure skating and simply skating for fun.

The SheaPuck Hockey Clinic for children ages six through ten years-old will run from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  SheaPuck includes 90 minute on-ice skills, drills and scrimmages.   In the final hour there will be activities and games.  Participants are encouraged to bring gym clothes and sneakers for off-ice activities.  The mini-camp is $30 per day or $55 for both days and includes a light snack.

Power Skating is offered for Hockey Players, PeeWee Travel through Midget and Adults as well.  The hour long program begins at 10:10 a.m.  Each session is $20.  

There will also be: 

  • Public Skates at 11:20 a.m and 1 p.m.
  • Stick and Puck is offered at 1:40 p.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Free Style for figure skaters will be held from 2:40 p.m until approximately 6 p.m.
  • Ice Jam will go on as usual on Friday night from 8:30 until 11 p.m.
