SPARTA, NJ – The Sparta Board of Education will be meeting inside the Mohawk Avenue School on Thursday, October 22.  Due to Governor Murphy’s Executive Order 173, the public will be restricted to 25 people, according to a statement from the board of education.

The meeting will open at 6:30 p.m. then convene to executive session until 7:30 p.m. when they will open back to the public. 

The meeting will be live streamed on YouTube.  The public will also be able to call in to listen to the meeting and make comments during the public participation portion of the agenda.  The YouTube link and the phone number will be available on the Sparta.org website before the meeting.

Community member watching via YouTube can submit questions or comments to be read at the meeting to public.comment@sparta.org by 4:30 p.m. on October 22. 

“Due to the anticipated volume of comments, please limit yourself to one comment,” the announcement said. “We will do our best to get through all comments, however, please note that the public comment portion of the meeting will be limited to 45 minutes.”
