SPARTA, NJ – Sparta Board of Education held a special meeting on Monday afternoon at Mohawk Avenue School.  The short agenda from the Operation Committee announced a Sparta Board of Education Retreat.  The retreat will be held on Saturday, April 29 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Mohawk Avenue School Professional Development Center in the lower level of the school and is open to the public. 

Superintendent Dr. Michael Rossi has stated in previous public meetings that the board would have the retreat, proctored by Kathy Helewa, a representative from New Jersey School Board.  According to Rossi, the agenda will include sessions on team building, understanding their ethics, roles and responsibilities.  They will also spend time on district goals.  The last item on the agenda is STEM and STEAM opportunities for the district.
