MOUNT OLIVE, NJ - The Sparta boys lacrosse team lost to Mount Olive on Tuesday, 10-7. The game was moved from Sparta to Mount Olive due to the rain.
The positives Sparta can take from the game is that they had a balanced scoring. Jesse West had the most goals with two. The issue with having a balanced scoring with the leading scorer having just two goals means that the score is going to have to be low for them to have a shot at winning.
Stelio Kroudis and Alex Milliken had a goal and an assist each. Kroudis had three groundballs while Milliken had five. Russ Eberding kept his face-off numbers strong with 14 groundballs.
Beck Gozdonovich and Eberding each scored a goal for Sparta, who dug themselves a 7-2 hole at halftime after letting up four goals and scoring none in the second quarter.
Sparta is now 2-6 and 1-4 in league play. They play Westfield on Thursday.
