RANDOLPH, NJ – Another big win for Sparta boys’ lacrosse.  On Saturday the Spartans ran over the Rams 17-5. 

Once again Stelios Kroudis led the team with six goals and two assists. Sophomore Kroudis has 113 career points with 87 goals and 26 assists.

Jesse West added four goals and an assist. Sophomore West has 137 career points with 83 goals and 54 assists.

Owen Mead picked up nine points with three goals and six assists.  Senior Mead has 257 career points with 145 goals and 112 assists.

Jack Bushey scored twice.  Alex Miliken and Devon McIntyre each scored once, McIntyre also had an assist.

Defensively Russell Eberding scooped up 15 ground balls and Al Falco grabbed nine.  Eberding also won 21 or 25 faceoffs.

Coach Tyler Meth said, “Defense was outstanding all game.  Great efforts by Al Falco, Luke Binder, Will McKenna Dean Gennat, Liam Armstrong and Justin Brick.  Danny Smith was solid in the cage.”

Smith stopped seven Ram shots on goal.  Junior Smith has 287 career saves.

Sparta extends their winning streak to 14-0.

Sparta plays Voorhees on May 10 in the quarterfinal round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex tournament.
