SPARTA, NJ - The Sparta High School boys soccer team shut out Pope John on Reis Field on Thursday with a 5-0 win.  It was a team effort with five different Spartans finding their way past the Lion's keeper.

Eric DaSilva and Luke Schmitzer both scored and contributed with an assist.  Gianluca Bivona, Jack Williamson and Luke Gasper-Markel each added to the score.  Conor Gormley contributed two assists.  Danny Dimarco was also credited with an assist. 

The boys were coming off a 3-1 loss to Jefferson on the Falcon's turf.  Joe Collins was the only Spartan point in that game on Monday.

The Sparta boys have a season record of 10-7.
