RAMAPO, NJ - In truly heartbreaking fashion, the Lady Spartans lost to Ramapo, 41-38, in overtime in the second round of the state tournament.

Paige Smith led the way for the Lady Spartans with 10 points, one rebound and two assists. Brianna Falco and Beth Laing had two three pointers each. Falco had eight points while Laing, in her final game, added six points. Emily Dilger had four points and nine rebounds.

Erin Walsh had eight points, six rebounds and two assists. Emily Lake had two points and six rebounds.

For Ramapo, Emily Calabrese had 15 points, including nine free throws, 12 rebounds and four assists. Tori Muller had six points and seven rebounds.

With a young team having this much success, earning their highest seed in 12 years, Coach Catherine Wille is "very hopeful" this is just the beginning. The Lady Spartans finished the season, 17-9.
