SPARTA, NJ – Sparta girls lacrosse easily moved through the semi-final round of the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 1 Group 2 when they defeated Mahwah 21-12.  The top ranked girls played at home on Reis field on Tuesday.

Katilin Mead was just about unstoppable with nine goals and an assist.  Jacqui Hallack found the back of the net four times with two assists.

Courtney Klein, Hailey Mead and Brianna Falco each contributed two goals. Lauren Neufeld and Bayleigh Takacs each add a goal to the total.

Julianna McGuire was a play maker with eight assists and grabbing 19 ground balls.

Madison Levinson stopped 12 in net for Sparta.

With a season record of 17-2 Sparta will host second seed Ramapo for the finals on Friday, May 26.
