SPARTA, NJ – Peggy Kennedy scored two goals, her first for the season, to lead Sparta to a 4-1 girls soccer victory over Mt. Olive on Tuesday.

Cayleigh Glew and Carly Seeland each added one goal. It was Seeland's first goal of the season as well. It was a team effort with two assists for Daniella Montesano and one each for Katlin Mead and Taylor Nolan.

  • Nolan has nine goals and seven assists.
  • Kelly Carolan has nine goals and one assist
  • Glew has eight goals for the season with two assists.
  • Montesano has three goals and nine assists.
  • Mead has five goals and seven assists.

Sparta had nine shots on the Mt Olive goal.  Sparta’s keeper Julia Flake had 10 saves.

Flake has 89 saves for the season.  Lia Gaccione has 50 saves for the season.

Sparta’s record is 13-2 as they prepare to host Pope John on Thursday.
