SPARTA, NJ – Two young Sparta women, both recent graduates of Sparta High School, have started their own business, Brightside Photobooth. Erin and Kellie Clark bought the photo booth from a family friend, “because the opportunity presented itself.”
Erin was in the class of 2012 and Kellie graduated in the class of 2014
The women said they always wanted to start their own business. “We knew it would be difficult but we are both driven and excited to start something new.”
They have had their photo booth at weddings, Sweet 16 parties, reunions, anniversaries and most recently a Sorority Formal dance at the Meadowlands Racetrack. They have done corporate events for Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Pass it Along’s Night at the Races, Janssen and more.
The duo works hard but some events are more challenging than others. They share a funny story;
“We didn’t realize how physically challenging owning a photo booth could be. After parking our trailer, we were told we needed to carry the photo booth piece by piece through a basement, up on an elevator, through a kitchen and then through the event space packed with tables and chairs. At the end of the event we both had bruises covering our legs and had the best workout in weeks. Even though it was not the perfect situation, the event was a success with a line [for photos] the whole night and pictures for everyone to cherish for years to come.”
“We want to add fun and laughter and lasting memories without giving the host another thing to think about,” said Erin.
“We pride ourselves in giving personal, quality service with an affordable price,” said Kellie.
