SPARTA, NJ – Sparta High School athlete Russell Eberding has signed a letter of intent to continue his lacrosse at West Point Military Academy.

"Russell is a natural leader and gifted face off specialist," Coach Tyler Meth said. "He will be a great addition to the Army Lacrosse team based on his ability to make everyone around him a better player on the field and a better person off the field. He is a great role model to his teammates and all our players in the youth program."

Sparta High School had one of the largest Division I signing classes in its history, according to the office of the school’s Athletic Director.  This year the 10 athletes have signed National Letters of Intent at the fall signing deadline.
