SPARTA, NJ – Sparta High School athletes Kaitlyn and Hailey Mead have signed letters of intent to continue their lacrosse career at the University of Michigan.
“I can’t wait, it’s going to be so fun and exciting to play at this level with a brand new team," Kaitlyn said. "I’m so thankful I am given the opportunity to compete at Michigan next season.”
"I’m so excited to continue playing lacrosse in college, let alone somewhere as amazing as Michigan," Hailey said. "I’m so grateful for this opportunity, and can’t wait to see what the next four years have in store."
"I can say a million wonderful things about the Mead gilrs," coach Kate Brennan said. "They are, by far, the most coachable, the most athletic, and the most team-oriented athletes I have ever been blessed to coach. Kaitlyn and Hailey are wonderful girls, from a wonderful family. Our team has been humbled and incredibly thankful to have them."
Sparta High School had one of the largest Division I signing classes in its history, according to the office of the school’s Athletic Director. This year the 10 athletes have signed National Letters of Intent at the fall signing deadline.
