SPARTA, NJ - Playing in the auxiliary gym at Sparta High School the boys basketball team won against West Morris 52-42. The game had been rescheduled due to snow on Tuesday.
Sparta outscored West Morris each quarter.

Second ranked Sparta will play in the quarterfinal round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex tournament. They will take on the winner of the Warren Hills, Vernon match up.
Having two players come out of the West Morris game with injuries and having another out with a broken finger did not worry Simon who said he has confidence in the team's bench. "We have a good team," Simon said.
The boys will play at Mendham on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Sparta is 13-3 for the season with a 3-1 record for the American NJAC division. They are second behind Pope John.
