SPARTA, NJ-Sparta High School boys lacrosse was beaten by Watchung Hills 11-6 on the road,  despite a strong showing from the Spartans Lucas Faria and Tyler Mead with two goals apiece.  John Puszcz and Skyler Fransisco each had a goal and an assist.  Nick Clayton contributed with four ground balls.  Dylan Pannicucci, Eric Reinhard, Zack Eberding and Faria each had two ground balls. 

Ryan Cunningham had three goals and Tyler Furlong had two for Watchung Hills.  Their goalie Jack Ayre had 11 saves for the day.

Sparta boys lacrosse falls to a record of 6-7 for the season so far.  They will face West Morris at home on May 6 at 4:30.

Sparta girls lacrosse will play in Millburn on Tuesday, May 6 at 5:30.
