SPARTA, NJ – The Sparta High School boys soccer team beat Chatham on Wednesday 2-1 on Reis Field.  Eric DaSilva scored the first Sparta goal in the first half.  Chatham scored in the second.  The second goal for Sparta was an own goal.

Sparta keeper Alban Ukaj stopped four Chatham shots.

The boys were shut out by Randolph on the road on Monday.

The team also lost their quarterfinal game in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex to North Hunterdon on Reis Field on Saturday.  The only Sparta goal was shot by Danny Dimarco, with Devin Lebel getting the assist.  Sparta went into the game as the third seed.

The Spartan season record stands at 9-6.  They will travel to Jefferson on Monday.
