SPARTA, NJ – The Sparta High School boys soccer team lost a close game to High Point on Monday on Veteran’s Field, 1-0.

Despite having to play a man down for most of the second half because of foul trouble, High Point held on to the single goal lead to the end.  Sparta created a number of opportunities in the second half but could not get the ball in the net.

Sparta’s keeper Danny Dimarco stopped seven shots.  Sparta had only four attempts, all stopped by High Point’s goalie.

Sparta boys fall to a 2-4 record for the season.  They will host West Morris on Thursday.
