HIGH POINT, NJ – Sparta High School boys soccer move to the semifinal round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex tournament after upsetting High Point with a 1-0 shutout.

Sparta was ranked eight going into the game against top ranked High Point.  The only goal of the game came from Peter DeFelice on an assist from Eric DaSilva. 

Spartan Goalie Danny DiMarco stopped all 10 High Point shots.  Garret Potter, in net for High Point saw eight.

The win was not without sacrifice as Captain Sean Lowery was seriously injured in the game.

Sparta is slated to play fourth ranked Phillipsburg on Saturday, Oct 22 at the Phillipsburg Athletic Complex with a 2:30 p.m. start.
