VERNON, NJ - Sparta played under the lights in Vernon Friday night shutting out the Vikings 38-0.  Sparta's Quarterback Anthony Broccoletti connected with Thomas Agudo for 168 yards and three touchdowns.  Broccoletti ran one in four a fourth touchdown.

Broccoletti  also threw to Eric Castorino for 107 yards on four passes getting to the end zone twice.

Sparta kicker Vin DeSimone was five for five on extra points and made a 33 yard field goal.

Sparta is now 3-0 sitting at the top of their North Jersey Super Football Conference Patriot Red division. The defense has allowed only 13 points to be scored by opponents Randolph and Montville.  The offense has put up 138 points.

Sparta next plays at home on Thursday night, September 28 with kick-off scheduled for 7 p.m.
