ROCKAWAY, NJ – The Spartan football team put another in the win column on Saturday, beating Morris Hills 49-21. 

Quarterback Matt Maute connected 28 times for over 400 yards.  Eight of those passes went to Jake Zerillo for nearly 130 yards and three touchdowns.  Rich McDonald had seven catches for more than 90 yards and a touchdown.  Alex Miliken had four receptions, got 110 yards and including three trips to the end zone.   

Sparta started the game off with Miliken running the ball in for the two-point conversion after the first Zerillo touchdown.

Keenan Sylvester had four catches for 44 yards and Jonathan Byers grabbed three for more than 50 yards. 

Kicker Anthony Brocoletti was good for five extra points on six attempts. 

Sparta is now 3-0 and will host West Milford next Saturday for a 1 p.m. kick-off.
