SPARTA, NJ - The Sparta High School girls soccer teams slammed Mount Olive on Wednesday 7-0.  Playing on their home field in Station Park the rain did not dampen the Spartan's efforts getting three in the first half and coming back to score four more in the second half.

Tori Seeland led the team with three goals and two assist. Seeland doubled her season total moving to six goals for the 2017 season so far.

Bailey Kellenberger was close behind putting two in the net and earning an assist as well.

Emily Dilger and Anya Hemler rounded out the scoring each adding a goal.  Zoe Canzoniero, Marirose Fischer also contriubted with an assist. 

Sparta keeper Julia Flake stopped all nine Mount Olive shots. 

Sparta was ranked eighth in the North Jersey Atlantic Conference going into Wednesday's game.  Their record now stands at 7-4-1.  They will play again on Friday, hosting Morris Hills.

In the Hunterdon/Warren/ Sussex tournament the girls will play second seed Hunterdon Central on Saturday at 3:45 on the road.  Sparta is ranked seventh in the tri-county tournament.
