SPARTA, NJ – The auxiliary gym was a hive of activity earlier this month.  Students poured in to check out the clubs and co-curricular activities at the Sparta High School annual activity fair on Wednesday, September 18th. During the fair, club representatives were able to communicate their mission and recruit new members.

The clubs allow students to further dive into their special interests and discover new ones. Students are encouraged to speak with the student representatives and/or the administrator(s) of any club in order to find out what each has to offer.

While the traditional clubs made appearances, newer and specialized clubs are rising in popularity. Mock Trial, for example, teaches students the process courtrooms take during trial.

Another example is Find the Courage, which is an anti-bullying club that is available to seniors who want to be good examples and help spread positive energy around Sparta High School.

Special Ed Peer Connections Club helps include special education students by having club members spend volunteered time with them, encouraging an accepting atmosphere for all students.
