SPARTA, NJ - Two of the 10 Sparta High School students named September Student of the Month were on hand Monday night at the Sparta Board of Education Meeting. Math Supervisor Dennis Sheeran introduced the honorees to the board members and the public. 

Henri Brooks was recognized by the Guidance Department and Dylan Panicucci for Social Studies. Other students who were recognized but not in attendance are Devyn Potter, Mathematics; Kamran Yazdanfar, Science; Jarryd Boyle, English; Stephen Vocatuor, Art; Peter Jin, Music; Richard Maiella, Physical Education; and Isabella Cuan, Principal's Award. Alexis Liland and Emily Mead received the Student Assistance Counselor's (SAC) award for having conceived and organized the intramural powder puff football game as a fundraiser and showcase for Sparta High School's representative to the county Battle of the Bands. 

September Teachers of the Month, as listed on the SHS webpage, were English teacher Angela DeLuccia and guidance counselor Tim Librizzi.
