ROCKAWAY, NJ – On Saturday, Sparta High School girls track took home several medals from the Morris Hills Relays.
The 3x400 meter Intermediate Hurdle team took second with Carlie Wilson 1:09.19, Zoe Canzoniero 1:11.46 and Emily Kosker 1:11.97.
Wilson, Canzoniero, Kosker and Gianna Macones won the shuttle hurdle relay with a time of 1:03.84. It was good enough to qualify the girls for New Balance Nationals.
Julian Liland, Marguerite Bysshe and Wilson and Macones finished fourth in the long jump relay. Katie Hannan and Macones earned a second place medal in the triple jump relay. Macones set the season state record for the triple jump.
The girls 4x200 team of Lysee Micera, Wilson, Kosker and Liland finished seventh.
The 4x100 meter team of Hailey Paeolercio, Liland, Micera and Wilson finished 11. The 4x800 meter relay team of Nuala Heins, Genesis Sanchez Julia Much and Michelle Scaglione finished 15.
For the boys Tyler Szabo finished third in the long jump and sixth in the high jump.
Ben Davis earned a second place in the javelin and finished fourth in the discus.
The sprint medley relay team finished fifth.
