SPARTA, NJ – The high school girls volleyball team added to their successful season with a two game win over Pope John on Thursday.  They split the season against the Lions having lost early in the season; one of only three losses.

It as a team effort, as it has been for the 19-3 season. Of the 19 wins, a third game was not necessary as they shut out their opponents 2-0.  The team has put up 205 service points and 252 aces so far this season.  Defensively they had 870 kills and 149 blocks.

MacKenzie Wiggins had 13 kill.  Brooke Serovich had 13 asssists and three digs.  Megan McIntyre and Wiggins each had an ace, McIntyre also had a dig. Alexa Acker had two kills and a dig. Alexis Smernoff had six kills, a block and four digs.

Liv Bouma- Hannam had two kills, two blocks and an assist. Autumn Nady had seven digs and an assist. Danielle Abbasante had a kill and two blocks.

The girls will host Mendham on Tuesday.
