STOCKHOLM, NJ – Sparta Jefferson United ice hockey fell to Madison 5-2 playing on their home ice at Skylands Ice World on Saturday. 

Madison was able to get four in the net before SJU could score.  The Dodgers took advantage of two power plays for two of those goals.

C.J. Leonardo got SJU’s first goal assisted by Nolan Kafafian late in the second.

Defenseman Matt Redding scored SJU’s final goal in the third on an assist from Mike Reilly.

SJU goalie Logan Hanek made 28 saves.  Sparta Jefferson United made 14 shots against the Dodgers goalie.

SJU has a season record of 4-5.  They will face Roxbury on Wednesday at Aspen Ice in Randolph.  The puck drops at 4 p.m.
