SPARTA, NJ – A woman from Staten Island is facing several drug charges after being stopped for speeding on Route 15. On June 19 around 10:30 a.m. Sparta Police Officer Tim Lynott stopped the 2010 Nissan, driven by Jennifer Fourman police report.
When Lynott approached Fourman he smelled raw marijuana. When he searched her car Lynott found a small amount of marijuana and an assortment of drug paraphernalia. Fourman was taken into custody and brought to Sparta Police Department headquarters for processing, according to police.
Fourman was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was ticketed for speeding, careless driving, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. She was released pending a court date.
